Personal Data in the Application Process
Personal data refers to information about the personal or factual circumstances of a specific or identifiable natural person. This includes information such as your name, address, phone number, date of birth, as well as details about your career, which can be reasonably linked to a specific individual. Information that cannot be directly or indirectly associated with your actual identity does not constitute personal data.
Legal Basis and Purposes for Processing Personal Data in Applications and the Application Process
If you apply electronically, i.e., via email or our web form, we collect and process your personal data for the purpose of processing the application procedure and conducting pre-contractual measures.
By submitting an application through our recruiting page, you express your interest in obtaining employment with us. You provide us with personal data, which we use and store exclusively for the purpose of your job search/application.
In particular, the following data will be collected:
Only authorized personnel from the HR department or employees involved in the application process will have access to your data.
The personal data is stored primarily for the purpose of filling the vacant position you applied for.
Your data will be stored for a period of 90 days after the conclusion of the application process. This is generally done to fulfill legal obligations or to defend against potential claims based on statutory provisions. After that, we are required to delete or anonymize your data. In this case, we will only retain the data as metadata without direct personal reference for statistical evaluations (e.g., gender ratio in applications, number of applications per period, etc.).
Furthermore, we reserve the right to store your data in our “Talent Pool” for 180 days after the conclusion of the application process to identify any other potential job openings for you. This also applies to applications for apprenticeship or internship positions. By accepting this privacy statement, you consent to the potential further storage of your data and inclusion in our “Talent Pool.”
If you receive a job offer as part of the application process and accept it, we will store the personal data collected during the application process for at least the duration of the employment relationship.

If the processing of personal data is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw this consent in accordance with Article 7(3) GDPR.
Please contact our Data Protection Officer (see Section 2) to exercise your data subject rights concerning the data processed in this online application process.
